My Fourth Grade Teacher November 20, 1996 Introduction My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Cerrato, was a very important part of my life. She helped me a lot with my writing. She was there to help me with my times tables when I had trouble with them. She would always tell me that if I believed I could do something I could. She inspired me to be a better student and helped me very much. Appearance Mrs. Cerrato has brownish/black, shoulder-length hair. She has a small thin, pointed nose. She is about five feet and one inch tall. She is thin and beautiful. She wore jeans and a T shirt on P.E. days, field trips, etc, and she always kept tennis shoes at school for P.E. and other outdoor activities.. She wore dresses and suits on parent conferences, open house, etc. Actions She always told us she loved reading and tried to help us enjoy reading more. She would read us books out loud and ask us to rewrite what she read in our own words. She would us to do something, instead of telling us that we had to, and expected us to do it because we wanted to, and it worked. She would never yell at us, just ask us not to do it again. She would also try to do some kind of activity, like P.E., art, baking, etc., everyday, and relate it to the lesson. Personality She made everybody in the class feel as if she was a friend, not a teacher. She never embarrassed anybody in front of the class. She seemed to know how we all felt inside. If someone had a problem and needed help, she could always find time for them, no matter what. She was always patient and understanding. Conclusion I thought of her as a friend, not a teacher. She helped me with my work and helped everyone whenever she could. If someone thought there was a mistake with his or her grade, she would always explain how she got the grade and help them understand. She was always nice and caring. She was my favorite teacher because of all of these things.
